FAIRsharing at RDA22

The FAIRsharing Registry WG is represented across eight sessions during the fully-virtual 22nd RDA Plenary, which begins next week. You can find staff and Community Champions throughout the conference, and we hope to see you there – please feel free to get in touch with us either via email at contact@fairsharing.org or via the Whova conference platform.

  1. Wed 15th, 7:00 AM – 8:30 AM UTC / Thu 16th, 10:30 PM – 11:59 PM UTC: RDA Ambassadors and Champions (session info), where Allyson is using the FAIRsharing Community Champion Programme as example of  on how to activate and credit individuals to contribute to an RDA-endorsed resource 
  2. Thu 23rd, 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM UTC: Data Granularity Guidance (session info), where Allyson will be giving a lightning talk on the connections among the FAIRsharing WG, the Data Repository Attributes WG and the Data Granularity WG.
  3. Tue 14th, 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM UTC / Wed 22nd, 10:30 PM – 11:59 PM UTC: Multi-Omics Data Standards Integration (session info), where Lindsey (FAIRsharing Community Champion for Omics) is a co-chair and developing Collections of Omics standards and databases in FAIRsharing to drive the activities.
  4. Thu 16th 0700 – 0830 UTC: Bridging the gaps between policy, coalface and data science in crisis situations. Francis is one of the chairs of a working group creating a UNESCO Toolkit on Data Policy in Times of Crisis, and Allyson is a representative of FAIRsharing within this group.
  5. Thu 16th 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM UTC: Revitalising Data Policy Impact and Alignment (session info), where Allyson will be presenting a co-creation activity with journal publisher of an Editorial Handbook for reproducibility and FAIRness, where FAIRsharing supports its actionability.
  6. Wed 15th, 7:00 AM – 8:30 AM UTC / Wed 22nd, 7:00 AM – 8:30 AM UTC: Criteria and Certification for Trustworthy Technical Repository Service Providers (session info), where Allyson has just joined as a co-chair to bring in this new group the curated descriptions of repositories in FAIRsharing.
  7. Tue 14th, 10:30 PM – 11:59 PM UTC / Thu 23rd, 7:00 AM – 8:30 AM UTC: Policies in Research Organisations for Research Software Working Group (session info), where this WG and FAIRsharing have begun a collaboration around our policy metadata and actionability.
  8. Tue 21st 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM UTC / Wed May 22nd 10:30 PM – 11:59 PM UTC: Addressing agricultural data ethics, Agrisemantics and AI (session info), where Debora (FAIRsharing Community Champion for Ecology and Agriculture) will be speaking.
